Camden-An awesome encapsulation of a small-town, charming, New England Harbor setting. A pint-sized Main Street packed with major character-anchored by the Megunticook River running under (yes-UNDER) the sidewalks and storefronts and down into Camden Harbor. New lens: Sigma 10-20mm wide angleSigma 10-20mm. Recommended eats: Cappy’s Chowder House-try and snag second floor seating at sunset for the best harbor views in town. Had the Baked Stuff Haddock–crazy full when preceded by a cup of chowdah! Somehow I had the will-power to resist the 1st floor bakery (open 7a-9p)–which had windows filled with AwesomelyScrumptious (Yes-a word) looking sweets and treats!Spent some of the trip playing around with shot composition for my new wide-angle lens. Worked on getting some nice DOF without distorting the edges with vignetting. Pic was taken on the floating walkways in Camden Harbor. Even though it was a cloudy early evening, there was almost no chance of pulling any detail out of the sky without completely under-exposing the pulley in the foreground :-/Thoughts on the better shot: long exposure vs desaturation in iphoto? I’m leaning toward the latter. This is definitely the harbor at low-tide…The next morning, every inch of these rocks were submerged.
